The wordmark and icon feature customised cut-outs inspired by manufacturing processes, introducing an industrial edge while maintaining a refined, considered aesthetic. Paired with the ‘OA’ monogram, the system allows the brand to flex between formal and shorthand expressions.
Graphic elements draw from both materiality and human interaction, referencing not only the making process, but the people who engage with the outcomes. From welders in the factory to individuals inhabiting the spaces, these cues reinforce Outside Assembly’s role beyond design as contributors to lived environments.
The messaging system extends this thinking, using clear, direct language that speaks across multiple audiences while reinforcing a uniquely Australian, ego-free approach.
